We can know more than we can tell.

  —Michael Polanyi, The Tacit Dimension

My research integrates digital humanities, information visualization, and science and technology studies. More specifically, I use mixed methods to explore how critical collective adoption of information technologies produces and communicates humanities knowledge, and shapes digital humanities as a field. I also write about humanities data curation and archives.

I received my Ph.D. in Library and Information Science from the University of Pittsburgh (2022). Previously, I obtained a Master of Library and Information Science and a Master of Arts (M.A.) in East Asian Studies, both from the University of Pittsburgh, and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Chinese Classics from Renmin University of China (Beijing, China).
